Sweet Belgian Waffle

In Belgium, you have 2 famous waffles. First off all, there is the Brussels Waffle. In the United States, Americans consume the Brussels Waffle as a part of breakfast. It is eaten with eggs, ham or beacon. You also have the Liège Waffle. What makes this waffle very special, is the very hard sugar that is used in the dough. It doesn’t melt completely, so you can still taste the sugar chrystals. This waffle is mostly eaten with sweet toppings like

  • Chocolate spread (for example Nutella)
  • Whipped cream
  • Ice Cream
  • Fruit
  • powdered Sugar

RH international imports the waffles directly from Belgium. To ensure a longer shelf life, we import these waffles frozen. In this way, the shelf life is extended to more than 14 months. Once defrosted, The waffles have a shelf life of approximately 12 days. There are 4 different waffles:

liege-chocolated-coated-w.jpgThe first is the original Sweet Belgian Waffle. you can eat it cold, or warm it up in the Micro wave. The best way to eat it though, is warmed up in an original Belgian waffle Iron. It tastes delicious with, but also without toppings.

The second is the Sweet Belgian Waffle, chocolate coated on one side. This waffle can also be eaten warmed up, or cold. you can even put an extra topping on it.fruit-filled-waffle.jpg

The third is the fruit filled Belgian Waffle. We suggest to eat this waffle warmed up. they are filled with blueberry, raspberry, strawberry and apricot. This waffle especially tastes delicious with ice cream or whipped cream

quiche-waffle.jpgThe fourth waffle is the Quiche Waffle. This waffle is filled with egg, spinace and cheese. We also suggest that you eat this Waffle warmed up. It goes without the sweet toppings.
